“Samara-Center” – a draft of a new urban center of socio-economic activity, which will be implemented in the October district of Samara in the area bounded by streets Michurina Lunacharsky and Moscow highway. The project “SAMARA CENTER” on an area of about 40 hectares planning until 2021 will be constructed a quarter, which will include:
• residential complex with a total area of about 500,000 square meters. m;
• shopping mall sales area of approximately 100,000 square meters. m;
• 3-4 * hotel with 200 rooms;
• public and business and public social areas;
• Children’s Educational Complex;
• green recreational area of approximately 4.5 hectares;
• about 6,000 parking spaces in the underground, structured and surface parking lots.
In 2007, the work on establishment a marketing concept development project was done with involving the territory of «Jones Lang LaSalle». London office of the international architectural company «NBBJ» helped to create a master plan for the territory.
Project “SAMARA CENTER” was presented at the international exhibition “EXPO REAL» (Munich, Germany) in 2007 and 2008.
Quarter “Samara-Center” will be built on the site formerly occupied Bearing Plant “GPZ-4.” In 2007, in order to release land for its further exploration and development, it was decided to shift the primary production in the industrial zone of the city. After that was changed purpose of the land. According to the current General Plan Samara area within the boundaries of streets Michurina Lunacharsky Moscow highway and is designed to accommodate public buildings, administrative and business facilities, large shopping centers, residential buildings, based on their formation of complex multifunctional zones with necessary facilities of transport and engineering infrastructure.
In September 2009, a draft plan of the territory of the quarter “SAMARA CENTER” was held public hearings and was approved by the Administration of Samara.
The company “SAMARA CENTER” is preparing the territory for construction works.
Since 2009, the territory of a future quarter operates modern exhibit space “Art Center”. In 2011, the city opened “Multifunctional center of public (municipal) services to the public” (MFC).
In March 2011, the company “SAMARA CENTER” signed a contract with leading international companies – British architectural bureau «Building Design Partnership» (BDP), a global consultant in the field of construction «Davis Langdon», within the structure of the world-famous corporations AECOM, and British engineering group «WSP».
