In the new museum, the style of modernity is presented complexly as an artistic style, and as a “The way of life”: its architecture and functionality – the perfect embodiment of the essence of modernity. Fully creation of the museum was completed in the end of 2014. Currently, the visitors can familiarize the exhibits, are represented in three halls of the first floor: “The dining room”, “The boudoir” and “The office.” Active and available to visitors of the mansion, space is the area of the second floor, which is given for holding of temporary exhibitions as related to individual representatives of the modern era as well as those who continues this tradition today. In addition, an estate as a museum complex, unlike other Russian museums such plan, provides the access of visitors to the territory of entire museum space.
The museum of Art Nouveau
One of the significant moments of history is the period of art nouveau-style, established in art in the late XIX – early XX centuries. The epoch of modernity had covered by itself the whole world, leaving no one indifferent. The mansion of the merchant of guild I, A. G. Curlin and his wife, A. P. Curlin, was built in 1903 by architect A. U. Zelenko,and became one of the first and most striking architectural buildings of Samara in the style of modernity, it is called “The pearl of modernity”. In 2013, the house turned 110 years.
